Vincent Newfield

Biography

Vincent Newfield was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1969. He accepted Christ as His Lord and Savior at age five. In 1991, he married his best friend and life partner, Allison. They have been married for nearly eighteen years and are the blessed parents of four beautiful daughters—Victoria, Bryanna, Adelaide and Eleanore.

For nearly 35 years he has grown up in and around the “church scene.” As a pastor’s kid, he experienced many highs and lows of ministry life, which along with his study of Scripture has equipped him for service.

At the age of nineteen, Vincent began helping his mom and dad pioneer a church in Kenner, Louisiana. For eleven years he served in many different areas, from cleaning toilets, cutting grass and working in the nursery to performing in dramas, serving on the church board, acting as an elder, overseeing ushers and greeters, leading worship and preaching in the pulpit.

While helping his Mom and Dad pioneer the church, Vincent and Allison also began pioneering a different ministry—the ministry of The Church Guide.  For over eight years they published this ministry magazine in the Greater New Orleans area, helping people find a church home and connecting them with Christian owned and operated businesses.

Through The Church Guide ministry, the Lord taught Vincent many things—including how to write. The development of this gift laid the foundation for his next position with Joyce Meyer. In 2000, he and his family moved to St. Louis, Missouri where he served as Joyce’s lead writer and eventually her magazine editor.

In June 2007, Vincent stepped away from Joyce Meyer Ministries and founded the ministry of Prepare The Way with his wife Allison. Prepare The Way is a practical, relevant preaching and teaching ministry, helping to ignite a fiery, passionate relationship with Jesus Christ. Their heart’s cry is to build believers who are pure, mature and ready for the approaching “latter day” outpouring of God’s Spirit and the imminent return of our invincible King.

Vincent also assists his pastor, Ed Shirrell of Faith Community Church, ministering on a regular basis and has done so for the past eight years. Additionally, he has authored several devotional workbooks for John and Lisa Bevere and continues to write a regular column in Joyce Meyer’s magazine, Enjoying Everyday Life. He is a second generation, spirit-filled licensed minister and holds a degree in Communications from the University of New Orleans.
